Why is it called a U turn and not an n turn

Basically the title but when we do a “U” turn we actually make a small n not a U.

It’s Unicode U+2229. So I guess we all can formally agree to call it U+2229 turn ? Or in short U turn ? No ?

If you post a serious question on friday and are looking only for legitimate answers, then please include the [Serious] tag on your post. Irrelevant replies will then be removed by moderators.

If you intentionally annoy, mock, harass, or discriminate against any individual member, you will be removed.
