Young black bear! Juveniles have rounded Mickey Mouse ears, so I’m not sure about this guy/girl. A bit small for an adult? Not seeing tracks, but there are dozens of small, disturbed spots where I suspect he was poking his nose in the leaf litter.

Also grabbed a pileated woodpecker, the Woody Woodpecker sort. Saw one while sitting at my table one day (holy shit they’re bigger than I thought!), immediately hung a suet feeder. First batch rotted before anyone ate it. Put the last load in a month ago and it’s all gone! I think they’ve found me.

    Super cool! I switched my trail cams to video mode and now I have a video of a pilated woodpecker doing woodpecker things to the trunk of a tree.
