I’ve been setting myself up to move out of country for a few months now. So I’ve been planning since before the election but it used to be “if I make it cool if not I’ll find my path here” and now it’s more “I’m getting out of here with or without a plan”. I know I should want to stay and fight but my body is aging, I’ve been fighting for so long, my trans ass is one of the first on their kill list. Be super anxious that your spouse is going to start belittling you for not getting anything done so that the moment movement anywhere in the house happens you bolt awake and start cleaning something, get a divorce, move to a new house so all the noises are different and everything sets off the “oh fuck I need to wake up and clean” response, then carry that anxiety over to assuming your super caring new roommate is going to secretly hate you unless you’re always awake and cleaning something. Worked for me anyway I can wake up hours earlier than I used to I don’t even need an alarm

What about a bash script that calls your CI/CD because the system is so old and complex anyone learning how to use it immediately builds a 1-off tool to hide what they don’t need but then everyone starts relying on that 1-off bash script so you extend the functionality then replace it with a proper tool then let that rot so you need a new bash script to call that to hide the useless parts?

I just had to split the cats in my divorce. Mine has been yowling in empty rooms and he’s clearly showing signs of depression (not eating as much, sleeping more, etc). My ex’s has apparently been searching the new house for days and gets sad when he can’t find me or my cat. They definitely have a sense of loss and vary in how they cope with it

I made a spreadsheet where one column would timestamp each row when the task note column was edited. Then another column that just checks time between timestamps to tell me how long was spent on a task. Another column was used for formatting so I could quickly copy/paste everything into the system at the end of the day

I actually did this at my previous job. They wanted me to time track everything I did to the minute so I started adding time spent tracking my time. Boss hated it but couldn’t really do anything to get me to stop

I personally really like the muted/flat look, gives the image an older feel to it. It’s like something you’d find in a box of old photos with no explanation, or a movie where people are driving through an area and you catch glimpses of slow paced life that they’re driving past, if that makes sense
