nope, that’s called due process under the rule of law. Innocent until proven guilty. His guilt doesn’t seem to have been established beyond reasonable doubt, if I understand correctly.
Now, if the police had turned up damning evidence, he would not have been sent home, but sentenced. And hopefully been put in jail for a very long time.
lots of good advice here. I just want to restate: do yourself a favor and migrate your HDDs over to any solid state drive. Whether that means “classic” SSDs with a SATA-Port or M.2s is your prerogative, but in either case you’ll start wondering how you could ever stand that s pinning noise and the vibrations and the slow, slow data transfer.
A 7 months old random fediverse account is a bot? You know that the entirety of the fediverse is like 0.001 percent of the user base of the social media giants?
That would be money really badly spent on astro-turfing bots.
It’s already been taxed, yes, but it’s also passively generating income by investing it. You tax that income with a capital gains tax.
You can further impose a let’s say 1-2% tax on wealth above let’s say 5 million, so you only have to pay 1% on 2M if you are worth 7M.
That should be easily covered by your investing gains if you play at that level. So, in essence, no harm done to personal wealth. You just get richer less fast while urgent social and infrastructure projects receive better funding.
It’s not “da costs”, it’s actually really, really really expensive to build new nuclear reactors. Most of that comes from increased labor costs, which in turn have ballooned largely due to increased regulation and oversight requirements, which I would argue is not something we should do away with.
I wouldn’t necessarily mind having a reactor or two acting as base generators especially during the winter, but
Oh wait, we’re already doing that and it’s already cost-effective. Now, if we were to take that process and build it at scale… for example by not spending 12-20 Bn 💶 to build another Flamanville, Olkiluoto or Hinkley Point C… I think that might actually work.
Yeah, you’re right. Don’t drink and post :D
Also it’s summer in Antarctica.
Goddamn dude, like yeah, an overwhelming majority of successful mainstream artists are white males… But don’t tell me you couldn’t possibly have considered
Patti Smith Sinéad O’Connor Howard Jones Manuel Gagneux MIA Prince Jimi Hendrix Freddie Mercury Slash Charles Bradley Doro Pesch The vocalists from blood command The singer from Jinjer
And that’s just top of my head. Sounds like you really didn’t care about it that much because “white men just make better music and think better thoughts”.
Pathetic.
Thanks man!
Why dont they turn it into vinegar?
Seconded, same here, though if OP lives in the US chances are that’s illegal.
However, OP, it’s still worth a try imho if you have a way of doing it semi-stealthily. I got four used 220Wp panels, a used DC to ac converter and then plugged that right into an outlet. Now when the sun shines, we generate between 2-4kWh per day, which is usually used right up by appliances and chargers. We figure we’ll break even in 3-4 years, but that’s a bit skewed because of high electricity prices here on Germany and the low upfront costs of getting everything used and then installing it on our slanted sunroom roof conveniently facing southwest
Fascist doing fashy things :-/
Nope. There’s a bunch of thoughts and speech acts that don’t contribute anything. There’s a reason the swastika and other Nazi codes/insignia are outlawed in Germany. “We just need to exterminate the Jews for a better life for everyone else” is similarly outlawed under an incitement to genocide clause.
There are very good reasons to put barriers on absolutely free speech.
You are in the wrong side of this.Theres a German doc shedding some light on this issue:
https://youtu.be/vogs4NzqI3Q (money quote around 7:07), basically “half the perpetrators of child sexual abuse do not feel an attraction to kids. On the other hand, half the people who do feel attracted to kids do not become perpetrators.”
Basically, half the people abusing kids don’t do so because they’re attracted to kids but presumably because they’re easier victims whereas half the people getting attracted to life feel disgusted by themselves.
It’s, for all that we know, as congenital as being straight or queer. Now, with queer and straight preference, you don’t necessarily run into consent problems. Imagine you notice yourself being attracted to, idk, 15-year-olds. You’re otherwise a reasonably well adjusted human being. That’s gotta be devastating. You can’t help it, you were born this way. There’s no redemption arc here, the only thing you can do is just never ever give in to this feeling.
