Oh boy, are you gonna LOVE Javascript
Oh boy, are you gonna LOVE Javascript
No, that’s nature. The cans grow in the cabinets. If only they had opposable thumbs… They could get rid of us entirely!
One director recently even stated he wanted dialog to be difficult to understand in certain scenes (I forget what movie).
It was Christopher Nolan with Tenet.
Yes, I’m still salty about it, and no, I won’t watch another of his movies in the cinema.
Obviously, since being a pedophile literally depends on that.
Since GP was explicitly talking about things happening to a 12 year old, your example is just not relevant.
Even if we were talking about everyone, it’s not relevant. You can find some story about something happening to anyone - doesn’t mean it’s something that “happens to people”.
So one group of college kids did this, they were arrested, and that proves it’s a common occurrence for young kids?
Talk to the girl you like? Believe it or not, you’re an alpha-toxic male and probably a pedophile.
Somehow I’ve never seen any real person face this issue, but I sure hear a lot about it from incels.
And, worst of all, it has a bug that slightly mangles output - except if running on Windows Vista.
The Docker container has 10 million weekly downloads.
Wait. So there’s a tool that allows you to validate pyproject.toml
files (since this file can be extended by any tool), and that somehow proves that dependency declarations in pyproject.toml
are schemaless? They literally use a JSON Schema for validating exactly this: https://validate-pyproject.readthedocs.io/en/latest/json-schemas.html
try {
operation();
} catch {
// nice weather, eh?
}
I’m not sure what you’re talking about. My point was that dependency definitions in pyproject.toml aren’t schemaless.
Sure, but why is that a bad thing when you have lots of direct dependencies?
It’s not schemaless at all, it’s a dictionary of string to string. Not that complex.
Leaving it away for Python? Are you mad? Why would you want to use my system Python instead of the one specified in my PATH
?
You have a strange definition of “database”. Almost every language I touch on a daily basis (JS, Rust, C#) uses their package meta file to declare dependencies as well, yet none of those languages treat it as a “database”.
Eyes are such alien structures… I can only look at them close-up for a moment before it gets too creepy. I mean, holy shit, this thing sees.
Thanks for digging into it - yeah, that’s definitely not a neutral way to phrase things.
But other polls have found similar results?
Not just that, it’s the reason why it doesn’t need semicolons: https://en.wikibooks.org/wiki/JavaScript/Automatic_semicolon_insertion
