I heard PregNog before, but it had me rolling.

Russia has been a world bad guy for as long as we have been alive and have spent some time now displaying their impotence to the world. USA joining the New Axis Powers as the last superpower makes trump far more dangerous.

Ignorance and gullibility. I fall for misinformation all the time, especially when it confirms my own biases and it takes real effort to maintain a mindset of “yes this sounds true, but is it actually?” It is also terribly inefficient. If someone tells me, when I was a kid, that daddylonglegs spiders are the most poisonous, I am likely going to just go “neat” and now I think that and say it. If you stop and verify EVERYTHING EVER you have no time to do anything in life. This makes the filter of critical thinking…critical.

Also, it isn’t about being stupid (though that helps). Some of the smartest people I know are conspiracy theory nutjobs. They can easily draw parallels between disparate facts, but can’t filter their findings or understand correlation doesn’t equal causation.

If I have to spell it out for the slow folks “immigration”=“border crisis”.

Pretty sure that cheese pizza originated in IT because it was so common to see, and ignore, CP on exec’s computers when you had to go fix them. It was used to share the info without getting busted talking about it.

That isn’t a censor, it is a statement and an abbreviation… I suppose PDF could be an abbreviation as well with pedo being one letter longer. PDF file on the other hand is just censor circumventing or their brand of humor.

Fractured idiots vs a cult. Blue needs votes! SOME states are starting to split their electoral votes or do ranked choice. IT IS COMING! Just like legalisation of weed and abolishing slavery. It is starting in a few states and it will spread (except in the predictable trash-states). Let’s not lose it all before we finally get a system that allows third-party voting! Red winning means that it will either be outlawed (see above trash-states) or packed SCOTUS, Congress, Senate will invalidate their vote if it goes non-red. Not to mention all the other official positions that will get polluted (see postal service) by Project 2025.
