Ubuntu shipped ads from Amazon back in the late 00s. I stopped using them then and haven’t touched them since.
Nah, the police are not your friend.
My issue is that I don’t trust Canonical. I was an Ubuntu user when they sold our searches to Amazon, and I am generally distrusting of corporations.
Good. This makes room for innovation.
I’ll check this out tonight when I get home. Thanks!
This is what I was looking for! I’ll check it out tonight. Thanks!
I measured it by playing the game. I’m getting caught in AoE attacks that I was easily able to avoid on windows.
I did that. Since I had everything backed up to my nextcloud, I just pulled the Debian USB out of my backpack and razed what was left. Rebuilt on the rubble.
The Linux kernel is a few hundred million lines of code, probably. It does need to slowly be moved into a memory safe language.
Go to an electronics recycling center and get a retired thinkpad (or 5). Once they’re decommissioned by corporations, they wipe the drive and send them off to be recycled.
I’m so ready for this. I hope they release a sequel too. That ending really left it wide open.
Oh damn! Is it time for my colonoscopy already? Thanks for that reminder.
Just those crotchety old timers who currently gatekeep the code base.
We’ve already seen a few crotchety old timers who don’t want to add rust to the Linux kernel.
At some point, a complete rewrite of the kernel in a memory safe language would be prudent. Unfortunately, the dinosaurs will have to go extinct before that can happen.
Glad to help. I’m highly suspicious of any corporation backed distributions.
