Why do we need software to drive a fucking vehicle? I currently own a car that has no infotainment or heck, even bluetooth. Don’t need that shit, only cuases distraction and I highly prefer physical buttons rather than a touchscreen lol (Heavily based on my opinion)

Most monitors do in fact have speakers! But they’re either comically small (which sound bad) or placed at weird angles and nobody I know genuinely uses them lol

Haven’t thought on that, but the Steam deck is a great option! OP should consider this!

Although for long term, you get better upgradablity which I think the kid would appreciate if they’re into hardware at some point…

My experience with Jellyfin have not been great. The mobile app is just not working well enough

Plex has lots of customisation available (which I prefer) but is a little harder to get running in my experience. I’d say, install them both and see what you like most. Do start with Jellyfin as it’s easy to install.
