Yeah, definitely question the motive of the PM source too. Sounds less like a “bribe” and more like politics.

Following the article where there’s normally a brief bio on the author says a lot about the credibility of the source:
I think it’s more often « Culture is changing around me. The things I understand and my opinion are less relevant. I’m scared. This person/group lets me feel less guilty and confused. »
I agree it’s not « facts » related, it’s « feelings » related. The real challenge is finding a leader that can reach the « thinkers » and the « feelers ».
Not looking to minimize of the situation or its assessment but the quotation in the article from Biden’s address actually reads:
“Hassan Nasrallah and the terrorist group he led, Hezbollah, were responsible for killing hundreds of Americans over a four-decade reign of terror. His death from an Israeli airstrike is a measure of justice for his many victims, including thousands of Americans, Israelis, and Lebanese civilians.”
It’s the killing of Hassan Nasrallah he calls “a measure of justice,” not Isreal’s attack…for what it’s worth.
“The ruling theoretically applies to land borders, seaports, and airports — but in practice, it only applies to New York’s Eastern District.”
I don’t know. The older I get the more I feel that locking someone a confined space with a bunch of other unintegratables, essentially indefinitely, is less humane. I keep thinking society needs to have some skin in the game making these decisions. Seems like there’s more of that with something decisive like capital punishment than locking someone in an out of the way cage and forgetting about them.
Maybe this was more of an !unpopularopinion@lemmy.world post tho.
Good thing grace isn’t about desert.
British Renaissance Fair(e) may be redundant like “naan bread” or “muay thai boxing” 🙄
We resent our enemies because we’re so similar…

Lots of different needs for different people, I guess. I’m older, eat almost exclusively junk food, exercise a lot and generally feel really great. Definitely understand it’s not the same for others tho.
Can appreciate the study but I wonder if lifestyle, activity/stimulation and portioning don’t play larger measurable roles.
Offset with property and sales taxes 🤷♀️
Hey man, why the long face. Chin up, proud boy!
The Deutsch and their « zeugs and Dings »
I love that a culture so associated with attention to detail and precision engineering is just like « flugzeug, fuerzeug, schlagzeug, schreibzeug… »
Useful update frequency is awesome!
lol. Not the target audience for this one, but this film was not « too good » to be scary. It was ambitious and adventurous. At best, as the author says in his own summary «…Alien: Romulus is kind of good. »
