No you don’t. It is easy to be imprisoned while innocent, such as in the case of wrongful convictions from shoddy evidence, being framed for another person’s crime, or even having fake evidence planted specifically to get a conviction.

There are considerable amounts of people currently serving time for crimes they did not commit.

Not to mention all the people serving time for victimless crimes such as possessing marijuana or for committing criminal acts that wouldn’t be criminal in a sensible place, such as for insulting your country’s royal family.

I know of at least one band whose music has been reportedly used in Gitmo for torture purposes. Skinny Puppy’s album Weapon was written in response to that, and the band billed the US government $666,000 for the unlicensed usage of their music.

Reinstalled my OS trying to fix something. Fresh Firefox install on default settings with just UBO, still giving me ads with footage blocked.

Right now on my Firefox it’s blocking the footage, not the audio, and I still gotta wait on the ads. I’ve tried screwing about in ublock origin’s settings a bit but it’s not worked out for me.

Funny you mention a Dutch and Mexican brew, but basically lol. I find Heineken better tasting than Bud, Miller, Coors, what have ya, but it’s not a huuuge bump in quality. Plus Heineken in my area isn’t that much cheaper than the much better tasting, much more varied craft brews I can find locally.

Moving is expensive and often there’s more reasons than just cost keeping someone holed up in a place they’d rather not be. I’d love to move outta my state, but I can’t afford the move, wouldn’t be able to afford a higher cost of living, and there’s folks and family here I simply cannot abandon like that.
