Cool. Never heard about that.
As you probably knew, I was referring to the David Niven/Peter Sellers movie, but I’ll have to check out that show sometime. Thanks.

The original “Casino Royale” was a comedy so they could get away with it again.
The way I see it… whenever I do buy from Amazon, I say to myself that my money is going to the workers/drivers… and whenever the Magas pay for stuff, that goes straight to Bezos.
It’s not as good as buying from somewhere else, but it helps.
Just like Sandra Bullock and Cillian Murphy.
“What if… now hear me out… what if we have the next James Bond take place in the future? It’ll be like his great-grandson with the same name. Kinda like Moonraker, but even more futuristic.” – Amazon exec, probably.
I think if you watch WolfCop… you might get your answer if it follows the same rules as Teen Wolf.
Ugly and evil.
We could be living in a complete A.I. existence right now.
And also… prompt engineers will never be as good as someone with artistic background who have the same tools. The limits of good film stories and characters are often blocked by the “money people” who don’t have the same vision, who often choose projects that make them the most money. They often don’t take risks.
I feel like A.I. will allow people with little access to Hollywood the ability to create original stories. The problem would be weeding out the onslaught of junk that’s coming to get to that good stuff.
It’s far better than the one where Shia swung on vines with the monkeys… though not as good as the original trilogy.
Not sure why, they get decidedly worse each time. I couldn’t even finish the last one.
I do have a little bit of hope on this next one due to Gareth Edwards directing and David Koepp writing… though I’m not holding my breath.
The three fingers and a thumb is obviously an homage to The Thing.

Movie after movie… Plan 9 from Outer Space (1957) Ed Wood (1994)
Documentary after movie… Apocalypse Now (1979) Hearts of Darkness: A Filmmaker’s Apocalypse (1991)
I agree. It’s stupid.
I remember last year, people were taking about how Margot Robbie got snubbed for best actress from Barbie. And I’m like, who would you prefer to get knocked out of the list?
Annette Bening in Nyad, Lily Gladstone in Killers of the Flower Moon, Sandra Hüller in Anatomy of a Fall, Carey Mulligan in Maestro, Emma Stone in Poor Things
All fine choices for best actress. Then we’d be talking about how that person would be snubbed. It’s the wrong word.
And I say the reports are true.
Who are you going to believe… Me… or an actor from “Not Another Teen Movie”?
“You know, Harrison. He was in a couple of those space movies about robots and laser beams. Also, he was the dude who played a cowboy fighting Nazis in that other movie.”
The Rock can’t be in every movie… though he tries.
Bautista is definitely the better actor and seems like the better human being as well.
Wife and I watched about ten minutes. I don’t think it’s for us. Kinda tired of Dwayne.
In other news, “Carry On” on Netflix was decent. Not great, but for a streaming movie, it was watchable. The leads definitely helped that one.
I Know What You Did Last Summer (1997)
I Still Know What You Did Last Summer (1998)
I’ll Always Know What You Did Last Summer (2006)
I Know What You Did Last Summer (2025)
The fisherman hook dude doesn’t know what year it is if he still thinks it happened last summer.
When people say they want original movies and then don’t go see them, this is why Hollywood continues to remake the same stuff.
I will say that the marketing of this one hasn’t been very good. The title doesn’t do it any favors.
