Appreciate it! It’s sure a load off.

Thanks. Hoping it’s a turning point, a catalyst for her to finally stop smoking, and make other positive changes in her life.
Every denomination has a different Bible, with different books they consider Canon. For instance, the Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo church has a staggering 81 books. They consider the book of Enoch canon, which almost every other denomination considers apocryphal. Interestingly, the book of Enoch corroborates a lot of information from other apocryphal texts, such as the origin of nephilim.
Honestly, the whole thing becomes a LOT more intriguing when you start adding back in the non-canon books. And I can totally see why the church deemed them heretical in a lot of cases, they pretty well fly in the face of a powerful centralized church, and if you’re in power, seeking to maintain it, it only makes sense to destroy them.
I always liked Stephen King’s version better. Pray for rain all you want, but dig a well while you wait.
Want a rabbit hole of apocryphal knowledge, start digging into gnosticism. It’s like more internally consistent Christianity. Also depending on which flavor and particular interpretation, you could arrive at such truths as: Satan runs the church. God(old testament) is an asshole and a fool. Jesus (specifically the divine aspect Christ) is on a rescue mission to save God’s mom, Sophia, from the prison world that is earth, that God made specifically to trap her. Judas is a tragic hero who has to kill his friend, Jesus, so that Christ can escape the prison world.
It’s wild, it’s a more interesting story than Christianity, and I can ABSOLUTELY see why most of these books were branded heresy.
Mums biopsy results came back negative. Given what we knew going in, I was expecting that to be the case, but good to have it confirmed.
My sarcastic asshole would have snapped the wheels off the bag if that’s the distinction they want to have.
Define useful.
Will any martial art make it a good idea to engage in a street fight, ever? Will any martial art prevent you from getting shot, stabbed, or ganged up on and beaten? No. Your best bet is situational awareness and a keen sense of GTFO.
However, martial arts are physical activities. They involve precise movements, and allow you a safe space to build conditioning. All of that means that, even if the techniques of the specific art you practice are fundamentally useless in the situation, you’re going to be just better able to use your body effectively. Hopefully to run.
I’d say the biggest thing a martial art has over a traditional sport is conditioning yourself to take a proper hit. Beyond any technique, the first hit is usually the deciding hit in a street fight. Knowing what it’s like to be hit, and being able to not immediately crumble, go further than any technique.
The good kind. Really sturdy. Put a toll booth on it, get your money back in no time.
Clearly a scam, if you need to send money to anyone, DM ME, I’ll make sure it gets to the right place. Also, any interest in buying a bridge?
Of course it can. It can also spit out trash. AI, as it exists today, isn’t meant to be autonomous, simply ask it for something and it spits it out. They’re meant to work with a human on a task. Assuming you have an understanding of what you’re trying to do, an AI can probably provide you with a pretty decent starting point. It tends to be good at analyzing existing code, as well, so pasting your code into gpt and asking it why it’s doing a thing usually works pretty well.
AI is another tool. Professionals will get more use out of it than laymen. Professionals know enough to phrase requests that are within the scope of the AI. They tend to know how the language works, and thus can review what the AI outputs. A layman can use AI to great effect, but will run into problems as they start butting up against their own limited knowledge.
So yeah, I think AI can make some good code, supervised by a human who understands the code. As it exists now, AI requires human steering to be useful.
Well yeah. She’s daring to consume something from an animal. That’s definitely one of the worst things a human can do. /s
Mate I’d be worried if you were anything but disgruntled. Companies are shit, layoffs are shit, feeling like shit after being through shit is pretty normal.
The rabbit lies too.
Depending on what you’re needing done, a lot of times IT has to cover their asses. If it didn’t happen on that phone call, it didn’t happen. I always appreciate the gumption, you probably saved us like, 30 call just from figuring out other issues yourself. If it’s anything that will cost the company money, though, like replacing hardware - if I don’t take due diligence in making sure those earlier steps are done, it’s my ass on the line.
You know you’re smart enough to do the troubleshooting, but that technician has probably 1000+ users that rotate weekly, they can’t keep a log book of which ones are good and which ones will land them in the shit. I totally get the frustration, but the ones who lie about doing simple troubleshooting ruin it for everyone.
It’s the same as going to a mechanic and saying “my car doesn’t work!” No shit? That’s usually why people come here. Wanna be more specific?
I support doing the troubleshooting yourself. Just be aware, if you call with one of those 9 out of 10 cases, we’re still going to have to do ALL of those steps again, so I can document that we tried them before sending any hardware. I’ve been burned one too many times by someone telling me they’ve already tried something.
Another good video discussing the origins of Yahweh/YHWH
