Driverless cars because we already have them. I used to take one to work all the time.

Isn’t 1G analog? All voice calls are transmitted digitally and have been since the early 90s.
Really? Back in the 2000s and 2010s I used to get a whole bunch of mass texts from friends, family, and random people, wishing me a happy new year. Nobody does that anymore.
What low-effort app do you recommended? I hate messing around with networking stuff, but I’m willing to build a home server, if that means I can finally get away from Google Photos. It must have HEIC support and a “memories” feature (where it automatically creates albums sends me notifications about what it wants to show me).
The SSD is what’s jacking up the price so much.
I built a similar PC in 2022: Ryzen 7700X, 4090, 32GB of DDR5 6000, 4TB NVME and 6TB HDD; it was $4400 including tax. If you spec the same PC today, it’s under $3K now.
Guardians was okay but nothing special. I was turned off from the film from the very beginning, when the “Awesome Mix” consisted of nothing but the most basic bitch, overplayed songs in existence. I know it’s nitpicky but it sent the message that this wasn’t going to be the kind of film for me.
Which is fitting because Marvel films are the KISS-FM of Hollywood. If Top 40 was a movie franchise, it would be Marvel.
The YT algorithm hates inconsistent uploaders, so they don’t get as promoted as much. Unfortunately you’re going to have to smash that bell icon if you don’t want to miss a video from him.
Can’t stand those films. I like the Raimi Spider-man films and the first Iron Man. That’s it. All the other Marvel films are repetitive and boring. I stopped watching them around Iron Man 2/3 as well.
Same goes for Star Wars. Rogue One was good. Stopped caring about the franchise after episode VIII (which I actually enjoyed). There are too many shows and spinoffs now and I got burnt out. Never thought I’d see the day when I’d stop being a Star Wars fan but I literally can not stand any of the shows. They’re all boring.
Etymotic makes exactly what you’re looking for.
That said, there is no such thing as hearing protection that doesn’t muffle high frequencies at least somewhat. But what you can do instead is buy earbuds with ANC + audio pass through and foam tips. But keep in mind that the audio will be colored by the frequency response of the headphones, making live audio sound more like a recording. You’ll still get the benefits of the live experience, however, because you’ll still be able to feel the bass.
Keep in mind that these kind of earbuds are basically hearing aids, however. So they won’t be cheap. They’re known as “hearables” and “OTC hearing aids”. And not all of them form a seal around your ear, which means that not all of them are suitable for hearing protection. Which why you’ll need to do your homework and find some that have foam tips. Also be prepared to spend hundreds, possibly thousands.
Or you can just deal with a little bit of muffled audio and buy the Etymotic earplugs. That’s what I would do.
How do you explain the different pockets and completely different backpack, then?
This is what I do, except with Imgur (and occasionally Bluesky).
Lemmy alone is not big enough to replace reddit yet. You need a supplimental website to complete your social media diet.
I don’t give a fuck because I’m dead and won’t be there to see it.
Do whatever you want with my corpse.

I only buy incandescents because I can’t stand cold, flickery LEDs. Christmas for me is about that feeling of warmth and nostalgia for childhood. There is no reason why LEDs should be like this, so I can’t wait to watch the video to see how well they fixed them.
Edit: God damnit; even the lights featured in the video still flicker. So I will still be sticking with incandescent. Why can they make flicker-free LED and OLED TVs, but nobody can do the same for Christmas lights? For the first time ever, Alec has let me down.
It definitely does.
I have both and this describes me a T. I realize that if I don’t find a job ASAP, I’m about two weeks away from being single and homeless. But actually getting off my ass and doing something about it is just too much work. I’m panicking and don’t know what to do. I already applied to 30+ jobs on Indeed and was rejected by every single one. I can’t even get one interview.
Well obviously. The point I’m making is that you shouldn’t just use your PC to heat your home unless you’re already using it as a PC simultaneously.
Unless of course you have a heat pump (or an A/C with a reversing valve, which is the same thing). Which by all means please use that instead. You’re not going to top a heat pump in terms of efficiency. We’re talking 300% efficient heat production minimum. Best you can hope for with electric heating is 100%.
Just buy a mosquito net and an Off® candle like the rest of us do.
Shove your clear weather up your ass. I’m sick of clear weather! Give me some rain already!
