I ripped so many thousands of DVDs that my neighbor gave me after he passed away.

I’m in the middle of moving so everything is packed up. But this was the rack before we moved.

Networking, 3D printer, black and white laser printer and a color laser printer, several servers.

I had home assistant, Plex, Minecraft server, 7 days to die server, and many other services.

Servers are Ryzen 5950x and the other is a threadripper 24 core.

The other side of the rack was HDMI switchers and some game consoles.

Going to miss the 1gbps fiber internet, we now have Starlink.

I used a spreadsheet and labeled each box AA, AB, AC… BA, BB, BC… FA, FB, etc. it’s 2 digit codes for each box.

I then took pictures of every box as I’m filling them, and make a list of all contents in the spreadsheet.

In the end we have way too many boxes! Yikes. lol Maybe I should have gotten rid of more stuff.

I use several of the suggestions above, but also for IOS (iPhone) I use “Firefox Focus” and it clears everything when I close it and I can watch ad free.

Maybe start with more simple things? What I feel is simple is like oatmeal or pasta.

Maybe take a cooking class? They can teach you how to do things so it won’t be as scary.

I switched to Linux mint maybe 6 months ago and it’s been great. Just a bit of adjustment for which programs I needed to get some things done. Also turns out some stuff was WAY easier to get running such as my JavaScript twitch chat bots, I didn’t even need a tutorial and I got it running in terminal. My wife also using mint at the same time I switched and she has been liking it too. Good luck and know there’s a ton of people here that can help you out.

I hosted my websites from windows server 2003, 2008, virtual machines, Linux, and other ways. It was fun times. I have very good up time using 2 servers and UPS battery backups.

That might be the other one I run, I forget because it’s on my server as a virtual machine (rtx 3080 pass through), but I haven’t used it in a long time.

I self host several free AI models, one of them I run using a program called “gpt4all” that lets you run several models locally.

My aunt is very controlling, so I completely understand how you feel. My aunt wants to control every aspect of my life, she tried to rob me of my money to gain even more control over me. I feel like a slave in my own house trapped because of her. Soon I will get out of this situation but you’re not alone in that feeling you got seeing normal people doing normal things. It’s even weirder for me telling normal people of my aunts abuse because most people never seen a narcissist and this deception to gain full control. If you have a vehicle, consider car camping. Some of the YouTube I have been watching are “Cheap RV living” and “SUV RVing”. Both of these channels show how little you really need to live in a car.

Something to keep warm, something to cook, somewhere to poop. Lots of people get a little battery bank to keep their phone or laptop charged. Try not to use your vehicle power when parked but you can charge everything while driving. I have been watching a ton of that camping channels because my wife and I are about to live in our car for a while and find where we will move to. We spent the last year gathering everything we think we need for the trip using these videos. People live in cars as small as a Prius (which has climate control when the car is off). We have a slightly bigger car, but I think we can do it after seeing so many people living in cars.
