OP, I would check out used markets in this price range. While frameworks are awesome I haven’t seen them being refurbished yet and you regularly have business leasing returns from Lenovo for example that could match your budget.
One thing that was only mentioned briefly by someone else is the physical button turning on the computer.
Similar to the paperclip test figure out where the power button goes into the mainboardw and bridge that with a short cable. Is possible that by moving the case the old button lost a cable.
This is just one more thing to test though, it’s really trial and error as you know :)

I agree with you that this shows down learning quite a bit.
I see three ways forward for you:
a) switch to a Linux base system, Debian, arch, nixos, whatever resonates and set up everything from scratch. High learning curve but no more hidden things.
b) same as a but as a separate setup. This is what I would recommend if you have the time and cash. Replicate what’s already working and compare.
c) figure out how to do things manually within the CasaOS framework. Can’t help you there though :)

Who should do this vetting though? The internet was built up with the idea of technical neutrality - everything else came on top. TLDs came later and were used to either describe the origin of a page or its intended(!) use. That leads to the case that not only can a propaganda outlet mark itself as “info” - it’s actually historically correct to do so as it’s about what the host wants to communicate.
ICANN, the organisation behind the TLDs, actually always struggles with this btw. A more recent example was the decision which domain should be reserved for local name services. It took y long time (I think years overall) to get to: .internal (edited, brainfart)

Being “on time” I understand as one of two things:
The first one is your responsibility, the latter is impossible to make in a way that works for everyone.
I don’t understand how this “change” should look like, what you’d expect people to do for meeting each other and events.

Whelp that’s not helpful on its own though to be honest. “long term lifestyle change” is the key word I am aware which is… Well at least I didn’t manage it so far. “just do X” is like telling an alcoholic to “just stop drinking, oh but you need a sip every other hour”.
