I use concepts of games I like. Right now Alan Wake and Pacific Drive are the two of them.

    • Main Laptop: Typewriter
    • Steam deck: Poet
    • NAS: The Lake
    • Main Pc, that has become more a render station since I mostly work on a laptop and game on a steam deck: Lighthouse
    • Hue Hub: Light switch
    • Phone: Flashlight

But when I started to be more interested in networking and installed openwrt on my router, I was more infatuated by Pacific Drive:

    • Router: Outer Containment Wall
    • WiFi 5/2.4 Dual: ARDAnet
    • WiFi for iot: RemnantNet
    • GuestNet: OEZone
    • VPN: BreacherNet
    • Switch: SparkTower

  • Sure, I also wish monarchies are cut of the tax payers spigot.

But why are you making this such a big point of having a rich old white dick getting preferential treatment? I thought you loved that shit in the USA. I thought the AMERICAN dream is to become a rich old white dick to get that sweet preferential (tax) treatment. To get your rich old white children get the same benefits through generational wealth.

Be mad that in the EU people can pay for both a rich old white dude play a monarch and socialized healthcare. While ever time you try and do something similar all the old white dicks crawl out of the woodwork to tell “HoW cAn We EvEr PaY fOr ThAt?!”

  • Trowing in my 2 cents. I am currently an AWS cloud “engineer”. I put it in quotes because the market is wild. In one place you actually design a landing zone for the company to use. In others you are a glorified support plus ops, but still get paid decently because the title is in demand and you passed a few multiple choice quizes from Amazon.

My current workplace has 99% in python. But this can also vary between companies.

Of course, this varies per region. I am in the Netherlands and our department has perpetually 3 job offers open.
