The more you watch the more money YT makes. And that’s all they care about.

while I do completely agree with Apple depressing lack of any innovation recently, until modern foldable phones become commonplace, there is only so much you can do with a brick of glass.

They are not getting down-voted into nothingness for refusing to tow the party line.

I appreciate the variety of opinions presented here. Plus (in my experience) the conversation has been civil.

I mean, in their defense the insurance companies finally “woke” up to what a terrible business idea it is to operate in Florida.

I remember talking to an adult about religion when I was in high school, and they straight up told me, “the only reason people are nice to each other is so they can get into heaven, without Jesus, there is no motivation for people to be kind, so we have to spread the gospels.”

I was horrified, but all of a sudden, my understanding of the world view for a lot of people just clicked into place

Last time I checked we are all stuck here. Unless you have a Planet B that you’re keeping to yourself then we are all in this together.

Ah, but you forget about the rubber band finally snapping. When it is released there will be push back and things will happen quickly.

Now the real question becomes, how much more can we take. I believe we are reaching a tipping point where the uber-rich either help, or are removed. And I think they are starting to see that too.

Who is passing blame?

It’s our fault we are here, it’s our fault this happened, it’s our fault when we are finally gone.

But life itself will adapt, and overcome this obstacle, just like it has countless times before, and will countless times again.

Personally I believe that our lasting impact will be plastics, which will get compressed by time and become the “rocket fuel” of the next species to gain full sentience, which will allow them to explore the galaxy.
