I think if it’s going on every windows computer windows should have a process in place to prevent what happened from happening. Windows are for profit, they have the money to do it right but they got greedy. A staggered rollout would have prevented most of it and is a very simple thing to require. Also if it’s going on every windows computer or most I wouldn’t consider that a third party anymore even if that’s how they keep liabilities at arms length

Doesn’t Microsoft allow crowdstrike to make updates? Being such a critical part of the OS it’s up to Microsoft to ensure their procedures are robust and being followed.

This is the exact same story the whole internet has used and every time the 3rd party or whoever it is eventually gets corrupted and it turns out that they kept the original data. The company gets bought by Amazon or who google and repeat

To be honest this scenario takes me less energy than the idea that one side is indiscriminately killing and torturing 100% innocent people purely based on their tribe. I still believe 95% of the stories are biased or missing important context but I can accept that there are going to be outliers that are plain evil even within context. For example the actions on oct 8 were plain evil even within context. If you can justify those actions as reasonable you can justify these actions as reasonable.
