In addition, analyses with 2,969 false uniform resource locators revealed higher shares and, hence, SwoCs [Shares without Clicks] by conservatives (76.94%) than liberals (14.25%), probably because, in our dataset, the vast majority (76–82%) of them originated from conservative news domains.
Damn, never would’ve seen that one coming /s
I’m always surprised by how many people would sooner rather run up their heating bill all winter than even contemplate putting on extra layers (or even just thicker/longer clothes).
I had a friend who would wear pyjama shorts the whole winter and always complain about the cold, as though putting on a dressing gown or just normal PJ pants wasn’t an option.
Like obviously you should use heating if you need it - don’t get risk hypothermia to save a buck - but I’ve never understood the rational behind people’s refusal to actually dress like it’s winter.
Part of me wishes that the oil would run out sooner to give governments more urgency to actually do something about our fossil fuel dependency, cause apparently the increasingly apparent effects of climate change just aren’t enough motivation.
Don’t remind then that America isn’t the world.
Also, ~999M is a whole lot less than the ~8B population we have now, so that is veritably not true
You could be right about them recycling numbers already, but 330 million < 999 million, so that wouldn’t be why
So the profit cap has been removed and the non-profit has been kicked out of the control seat. Sounds like they’re taking off all the safeties in the name of money.
Goes to show the money always wins, and if AGI comes true, humanity will pay forfeit.
To be fair to the developers, they do elaborate a little further in the comments:
Hey everyone, We appreciate the sudden enthusiasm for our game. When we launched it in 2015 into early access and 2016 into full, we were at the vanguard of asymmetrical games. It was exciting, but it was also our first step down the Dunning Kruger curve. QL has bugs that we cannot fix, shaky net code and overall sloppy design. We left the game up for this long so that players who had friends that wanted to play, could still get a copy. However it has been 9 years with minimal to no activity. So we felt it was right to remove it now.
I don’t know enough about this game or it’s community to comment much, but the devs don’t seem to be bad guys - seems like a story of naive developers making a mistake, but doing their best for their community with what they had. For a niche online game with no DLCs, 9 years is hardly a bad run.
To be fair you could call this “search optimisation” and the people on Linkedin would eat this up
As others have said, our reference of time comes from our own universe’s rules.
Ergo if rendering 1 second of our time took 10 years of their time, we wouldn’t measure 10 years, we’d measure 1 second, so we’d have no way of knowing.
It’s worth remembering that simulation theory is, at least for now, unfalsifiable. By it’s nature there’s always a counterargument to any evidence againat it, therefore it always remains a non-zero possibility, just like how most religions operate.
Could you simp any harder for Russia?
The Ukrainian people are out there fighting tooth and nail to survive the Russian onslaught, yet you’re in your armchair acting like they should just give up because Russia wants them to.
Could the Russians stop invading another country’s sovereign land?
As someone with ASD, I can’t say I’ve seen that much difference in the time it takes NT/ND people to get over a fight.
While I have seen some consistency across the sexes, in that guys seem to hold onto arguments for less time on average, even that varies quite a lot.
Cows, sure. Just don’t startle them or go near their calfs. They’re mostly just curious.
Bulls, only if you have to, but make it quick and stay as far away from them as you can. They’re fiercely territorial and not afraid to show it.
Pretty sure later updates for Windows 10 started doing this too, or at least it did on my PC.
Had to completely uninstall OneDrive to get it to stop - which Microsoft sure do make quite difficult to do.
Exactly. At what point does it become good enough to fool us completely.
Looks like it’s meant to be an antioxidant.
Did some looking up and apparently natural chlorophyll can be an antioxidant (when not in light), but it doesn’t seem to be a very potent one.
Considering similar fads have existed with chlorophyll, scepticism is advised
