1·1 month agoHow can Mastodon fix this? How is this a Mastodon issue vs. any kind of social media?
Mastodon is open source, as well, right? It feels like someone should be able to fork it if they’re really ignoring useful features that would help people.
Can you point me at them? Which ones?
I don’t use Mastodon so I have no idea what’s going on, but I am curious what y’all in this thread would want Mastodon to do.
Can’t you set up an instance and moderate it to your preference like other federation style apps?

47·2 months agoIf you are quoting a word or short phrase you use this form to make it quicker and easier for the listener to understand.
If you quote a long section, saying “quote, <long quote>, unquote.” is common and accepted.
Like watching people argue fanfic canon in here. 😅

This, however, is not the case in many more densely populated areas that tend to be more blue. There are often long lines for few polling stations. In some places you really do need a plan to be able to vote, especially if you are balancing it with other responsibilities like work or childcare.
For anyone who hasn’t waited hours in line to vote - your democracy sounds nice, the rest of us have to work real hard to make sure our (often less impactful due to the EC).vote counts.
