When a team of programmers is left to their own devices, they too screw shit up. They all do things in their own way and argue over what is best, and often fail to see the bigger picture.

I watch scope creep and lack of organizational planning from both programmers and managers. It’s all personality issues.

I also don’t believe anyone actually follows or knows what agile is (not saying I do either). Everyone on every team at every place sure talks about it, but it doesn’t seem like anyone actually does it. These are all just labels for “we adapted as we went.”

Most people don’t enjoy their hobbies anymore when they turn it into a business.

Ys X Nordics

Game was so boring, so slow, so clunky, so bleak, I never made it that far. Tried twice over the years. I want to like it. It seems great, but then actually playing it becomes a chore quickly.

Pull the stick out? I love history and thought of what you said as well and those women ARE remembered, but for a fleeting forgettable moment in a lemmy forum, even I had a laugh.

My issue is that most mom & pop shops suck. Local places often have horrid customer service or business practices and are run by people who have no business running businesses. Very few are legitimately good.

And it’s not just where I live now. This has been the case everywhere I have lived.

It’s why I hate the blanket “support local” bs.

Spartan: Total Warrior from the PS2 & Gamecube was I think an underrated or missed gem.

You don’t exactly play as a lot of mythological things, but it tells a great story with action combat around a lot of really cool mythology. Some of the bosses were incredibly cool.

You grossly oversimplified what the Supreme Court basically “said,” and then posited a ridiculous assertion on top of it.

So the oil companies have a limit and eventually it will stop.

You know those surveys that ask if you Agree, Strongly Agree, Disagree, Strongly Disagree? That kind of crap? Yeah, those don’t work. They’re idiotic, because your average person doesn’t really know which accurately reflects them and they gravitate towards what’s easier for them personally to respond with.

This will have a similar effect. Lots of people won’t give the accurate reason. They’ll give a comfortable reason.

I like that they are trying something new though. Critique certainly doesn’t mean don’t try it or don’t play with it.

Same. I played a lot of the originals. I now emulate a lot on Steam Deck, and they always look better without the CRT stuff.

I disagree. I emulate a lot, and the CRT stuff makes them look worse to me. Just adds noise to the image.
