I bet you like Yu-Gi-Oh.
They had a hell of a run, and while I’d like to see more, I’m really in it for the direction. If the director goes another route and starts a new franchise or keeps it going Ballerina and moved past Reeves, I’m ok with that. I think he’s a rare artist that gives action movies what they’ve lost, and I’m here for it.
The whole movie is fucking incredible. One of my favorite lines from it is, “I’ve got better things to do tonight than die.” There is a whole other scene where they are getting slaughtered in a space battle and one of the Autobots, Arcee, says, “Cup and Hotrod just bought it,” and Ultra Magnus just dead eyes, “I can’t deal with that now.” The movie is fucking hardcore. It was my own version of Saving Private Ryan as a kid.
Fun fact, Stan Bush’s “The Touch” was originally going to be the theme of the Stallone film Cobra. If you look up the lyrics, you can see that it was specifically written for the other film.
Try out Ashenspire, their album Hostile Architecture was my album of the year in 2022. They aren’t death metal per se, but they are heavy as shit. Best description is prog metal jazz infusion with spoken word poetry.
And at the center under miles of roiling gasses is a giant diamond.
… That’s the joke.
I just watched Alien: Resurrection for the first time last night. You can really see the direction Whedon was going with that script.
Nothing. Just Harmon virtue signalling.
Lmao. I saw it and I immediately know it was the St. Augustine lighthouse. St. Augustine is the only thing I miss about Florida.
They get to do this once, because it’s adorable. The second time, I’m honking my horn.
He had a good run. 88 is a bit longer than outlaws usually get. I’m just happy we had him around for as long we did.
Yeah, this is a hard one for me. Damn.
Just gotta make sure those taxes are going to the right place.
Infrastructure is a large issue. Border towns can become saturated, which will reduce living conditions, and when immigrants move to larger cities, they can often have trouble finding places to live. A lot of this can be because of a communication barrier. Sometimes that is because there are too few to translate, but there can also be educational issues. As much maligned as the US education system is, it is better than some others, and when your culture eschews school for an early start at earning a paycheck, communication in any language becomes a challenge.
Many issues can be overcome, or at least minimized, by compassionate workers, which many that work with immigrants are, but there isn’t enough funding to get compassionate people where they are most needed. Supporting increased budgets at the border isn’t always about putting guns on the border, it can be about improving the infrastructure that helps get people where they need to be in more efficient ways. I’m starting to ramble, though, and I think I’ve given a partial answer to your question.
He is so goddamned wholesome.
Project Farm, Nile Red, and Technology Connections are the best three channels on YouTube.
Sure, but they can’t get people to use it without utilizing the power of their competitor. You know, it’s like when a racing company steals a competitor’s car and then uses it to race against them. Totally legal. Definitely wouldn’t be banned.
Yeah, it’d be a shame if they had to sacrifice some of those mentions and hashtags to relay meaningful information.
