Weather (clouds), moonlight.
And the fact that I have responsibilities as an adult, and it is not easy to go to an actually remote location at the right time.
Going to a dark site is not as easy as “just drive an hour from your home.”
Take a look at this: https://science.nasa.gov/solar-system/skywatching/how-to-find-good-places-to-stargaze/
When I was young I saw the night sky with the milky way clearly visible. I never got the chance to see it again.
I travelled to the top of a remote mountain free of any light pollution or air pollution. It was a dark night with new moon. The sky was completely clear. I still had good eyesight at that time.
The starry night sky was magnificent and mesmerizing.

American adult? Or European adult?
According to Google Gemini analysing your photo:
Based on the image you sent, the footprints are likely made by a red fox (Vulpes vulpes). Red foxes are common in North America, Europe, and Asia. They are known for their bushy tails and pointed ears. The footprints in the image show four toes on each foot, which is characteristic of foxes. The size of the footprints also suggests that they were made by a red fox, which is typically smaller than a coyote or wolf. Here are some other clues that the footprints were made by a red fox:
Any idea what animal made the footprints?
Are those ceiling lamps? They are hideous.
A card with a well-written note would be the best. Take time thinking about the tiny things she did that meant a lot to you.
TIL, thanks.
We have GMT/UTC for that purpose.
But do you want to see your clock at 02:00 and say “time to go to work”?
That’s a very curious shape for a moon.
What I usually see on social media:
Most of the stars we see are several thousand light-years away from Earth. That means we are seeing the stars’ past as well.
