I’m Asian American (born here) but have always been mistaken as Hispanic (ever since my early teenage years) and I’m already thinking of carrying my passport with me starting on Trump’s first day.
This is what happens in some Republican controlled states when they limit the times and places and how people can vote. Trump said a few years ago that if minorities vote, Republicans will never win another election. So Republican controlled states started getting rid of polling stations and changing voting times to standard working hours, etc, knowing that people wouldn’t be able to take time off from work to stand in the now longer lines (due to fewer polling stations) or would want to stand in longer lines.
Plus, election day is not a national holiday like it is in most other countries, so people don’t get the day off to vote. Though some companies give 3 or 4 hours paid time off strictly for voting.
It doesn’t work for me when it comes to any sort of fried potato variation (fries, tots, crispy crows, etc). No matter how full I am, I can keep eating those.
It’s funny that Republicans want to force women to have babies but then also complain about women that have too many babies and refer to them as “welfare babies” but also want to defund social aid programs and not provide additional resources to foster kids and orphanages.
(I know that was a run-on sentence.)
Congrats! That looks pretty cool even though I’m an Android user lol
In my experience, a lot of them don’t need Trump as an excuse not to follow Jesus. I’ve come across plenty of so-called Christians here in the south and lot of them are the most judgmental , racist, and hateful people I’ve ever met.
Like Putin doesn’t rig his elections in his favor? Lol
They kept bringing up performance metrics. So are the metrics predetermined to always be against employees? Employees will never have a good performance regardless of all the positive feedback, just so the company can fire people when they want or need and say “well here’s your performance based on the metrics, you’re not working out so we gotta let you go”. That’s what it sounds like to me.
Exactly. Don’t be loyal to a company when it will never be loyal to you. You’re just an employee ID, a cog in the machine that can replaced or removed at any time.
It went the other way and people “learned” to be anti vaxx lol.
They’re real good at raising prices. Not good at lowering them. Also good at claiming record profits every year while cutting workforces.
North Carolina has had $7.25 as the minimum wage since 2008. It was like $5.15 when I got my first job at 16 (though I was paid $5.25) in the early '90s. Pretty funny when the recent temp Speaker of the House McHenry said he only makes $174,000 a year and that’s not enough. A recent article said most reps have two residences (one in DC and one in their home state, but still). $174,000 isn’t enough and Congress still bitches about raising the minim wage to $15, which is around $30K a year.
What Trump is referring to non-white immigrants.
Well you can’t believe Satan is real without believing God is real, and that number is too high too.
Okay, thanks. I remember reading quite a bit about this but in another thread a while back, several people were recommending Brave. I was using it for a while and I do like the speed, especially on Android. I was using Firefox on both desktop and Androis but I think uBlock Origin on Firefox causes a 2-5 pause when accessing some websites. It’s really weird and I haven’t been able to figure it out.
Overall, I agree about Brave and the shady monetization stuff.
