  • Found your comment by searching dune 2 in this community.

Dune 1 and 2 were just OK for me. I don’t have many negative things to say re the 2 flicks. Maybe it just wasn’t my cup of tea.

I <3 the audio for the Voice.

I appreciate Villeneuve. Aside from Dune 1 and 2, I viewed Sicario, Arrival and Blade runner 2049. None of those is a masterpiece for me, but Blade runner 2049 is his best.

  • I searched by typing Tenet and found your comment.

    The 1st time I viewed Tenet, I didn’t think hard. I didn’t get it. I disliked Tenet.

Many hours ago I thought I’d rewatch with more focus. I’d try to get everything. Based on Nolan’s other flicks, he probably didn’t write a dumb plot just for the $. I understood and appreciated Tenet. It’s 👍 that Nolan didn’t spoonfeed us by directing Tenet so it was easily understandable. I wouldn’t get it if I didn’t give it much focus. It’s 👍 that Nolan directed flicks with bold concepts. Tenet was too complex for some, but I suggest that they rewatch with more focus. They can search for explanations on the Net too. No shame in that.

I look forward to Nolan’s next.

Didn’t view the show. Didn’t read the article. I just went to Wikipedia to see the winners. For me Oppenheimer is 1 of the top flicks of the decade. I’m :) for everyone behind that flick. I’m :) with the decisions Nolan made. No composite character for scientists. Black and white for the Lewis Strauss things. Sticking with practical effects for the Trinity test even if it was hard. (I think this is 1 of the 👍 marketing things for the flick. Tell the public no cgi in the flick.) He didn’t shorten the flick to, say, 2 h and 15 min, which would probably make the studio gladder. (My idea is Infinity war and Endgame showed that a long flick can earn much even if it’s long. Are studios more accepting of long flicks now?)

Cillian Murphy’s and Downey Jr.'s acting were 👍 so I wasn’t :o that they won.

It was 👍 that Jennifer Lame won Best film editing. The flick was nonlinear temporally so 👎 editing could easily screw it up. Lame edited it such that it was easy to follow despite the nonlinearity.
