Sure, but all of these companies have had Hydrogen programs. GM had hydrogen cars back in 2009 on the road. BMW’s hydrogen program is still going strong. Toyota was just smart enough to capture the incentive money while they could pretend it wasn’t a boondoggle. 😆
Toyota makes hybrids, they outsell all other hybrid manufacturers, and middle-america “doesn’t want” electric vehicles while also demonstrating they don’t know about electric vehicles. Same story over the past decade, not too much has changed except the number of BEV on the road in total.
Toyota is a conservative (not the political kind) company, so it’s not that big a surprise.
Sounds like one of those people that doesn’t take a raise because it’ll put them in a new tax bracket. People that don’t know how the adult world works.
It seems like you don’t own a home, so I’m not sure there’s much point in continuing this conversation.
Seems like plenty people agree taxes should be paid. In fact so many people agree that it’s a law. Your greed will never fill that void, btw.
Cry to someone that gives a shit. Be less greedy. I’ve paid my share of capital gains, you don’t see me crying like a greedy little piggy about it.
think the capital gains tax exception
Nope. No exceptions. You made money for doing no work, you pay taxes on that money. Plain and simple. Cap Gains tax rates are already absurdly low, so frankly anybody asking for a further reduced rate or exception is already a greedy pig not worth listening to.
Aww, poor them. They only had enough left over to pay fully for their next place and pocket $50k.
There is little incentive to downsize.
As long as you ignore property taxes and maintenance costs. Which normal people don’t ignore.
You vastly misunderstood what I was talking about. They are greedy. They want to realize those gains and not pay taxes. Greed. This has nothing to do with anything else. They were happy to see the value go up as high as possible until they realized they need to pay their fair share. I’m angry at them for being greedy.
Nope. They got greedy by staying in that house for as long as possible to maximize their gains, and by then bitching about taxes.
Try harder next time.
… What’s the issue?
They paid for the next place, including fees, and still have $50k in their pocket? How greedy does someone need to be, exactly, before we consider the behavior repugnant?
They were empty nesters 10 and 20 years ago too most likely. They got greedy and now they don’t want to pay tax on the absurd increase in value of their house?
Cry me a river. The only feelings this should spark in anybody reading it is anger and hatred. Greedy, repulsive people.
Once a cop, always a cop. Anyway, good luck to him on his federal investigation. No doubt he’ll find some way to skate on that too.
Who the hell knows. He claims he was rehearsing the scene, which seems plausible. The scene being filmed would have resulted in the same injury and death, so cameras rolling doesn’t seem to be an important aspect.
A better questions would be why TF the industry as a whole allows people in the path of the barrel, why they insist on using firearms with blanks, and why acting staff aren’t given training on any weapon they will handle so they know how to properly inspect them.
No.
I’d flip the share of liability, personally. The primary liable party is the armorer since it’s their actual job to handle these things. But Baldwin shares in liability IMO because of the negligence of not verifying the state of the firearm. Especially after he knew others had used it for firing real rounds.
The whole thing is just sloppy as hell and highlights to me why regulations need to be in place, or movies need to let go of the gun firing bullshit. Every god damned thing is done in CG now, they can’t afford muzzle flash suddenly?
Literally no other manufacturer in the area is forecasting delays, and all of them have commented as much. Tesla doesn’t have the demand for the US, Chinese, German, AND Texas factory,. It’s just that simple. So they’re stopping production to let consumption catch up, after several quarters in a row of decreasing prices to increase demand.
Tesla famously removed RADAR and Ultrasonics from their cars two years ago in response to supply-chain disruptions
Yet that wasn’t the excuse they gave, which means they’ll happily lie about their motivations even when they’re clear.
due to the union issues
That and the lack of consumer demand in markets already saturated by them. Much like when they said the Chinese factory would only ever serve the Chinese market, and then started selling China production units in Europe. 🤷♂️
Ok, which other vehicle manufacturers are doing the same? Because my bet is this is in response to a lack of demand and a glut of capacity.
