I want to know what a dinosaur resignation letter would sound like. Not enough to ask an LLM, but I am curious.

How does reddit implement this? Afaik famous peoples accounts were known only by reputation and if they posted some form of image verification publicly, but there wasnt any identity verification going on on reddits end. Thats how it used to be everywhere, and how it probably should still be. If you saw an account claiming to be someone, you didn’t believe it was actually them unless you could check it out and verify their identity in some way.
When i had my original xbox the player two was a 3rd party controller, player one was a better 3rd party controller, player 3 if we had it was a first party controller-s and player 4 was the OG fatass xbox controller. My first choice was the mad catz controller that cost me 25 bucks and still works great to this day.
How can you not? Like there are specific tells as the other user pointed out, but aside from that so much AI slop just has this absurd uncanny valley quality that Im actually kinda blown away that other people don’t immediately see it.
Mozilla sold your data
Oh my god, “gold card visas”. I literally thought he was talling about selling credit cards for a second. Either way this is stupid as hell.
Its been a long time since ive used it but last.fm might be better for discovering obscure genre types than spotify. Spotify wants to generalize and distill their recommendations as much as possible because they want to appeal to a broad audience but iirc last.fm uses user tags to classify the music so its more likely something is tagged with the obscure search terms you’re looking for.
The only really damning ones i see are the duplicate face and the three fingers, and i actually think both are not signs of AI. With the 3 fingers, it looks like his index finger might be perched on the other side of the flagpole out of view, like some people hold a pencil. With the duplicate face, that seems much more like a human error. A graphic artist filling in the background got lazy. The whole thing does have a kind of fultered overproduced look that reminds me of some AI stuff, but I don’t see anything conclusive, and a lot of the examples pointed out below are definitely baseless.
Just to note, in a few years theres a convergence of when the major union contracts are up for renegotiation, so they’re already planning for a general strike. So it sucks having to wait until may 2028, but do what you can to get as many unions off the ground and onboard in the meantime. Getting any new unions going would probably be the most impactful thing you could do regardless of if there is a general strike, as it increases the negotiating power, and anyone not in a union is in a really difficult position if and when a strike does happen.
My money is on ReX. Fits with his whole juvenile theme and has the added bonus of making him feel like a classical king. Also rhymes with X.
The Sopranos ran from 1999-2007. The Wire was 2002-2008. Its always sunny in philadelphia started in 2005. Curb your enthusiasm started in 2000. Scrubs started 2001. So its not even just that two of the most critically acclaimed shows of all time were made in that time period, but some of the most groundbreaking and influential comedy shows also. If you think breaking bad was some sort of turning point for TV you missed a lot of history.
No its true actually. Vladimir (the impaler) Putin and President Xi got together and had a secret meeting all about how Wikipedia is the greatest threat to their total dictatorship of Earth, because its the only thing keeping the American citizens so free and open minded and a place where people can go to learn about forbidden topics like Tank Girl and Winnie the Pooh. Putin got mad because he read the article about Grizzly bears and it said he’d probably die if he tried to wrestle one, so he spun up his special government botnet from his elite hacker force and activated his army of Tankie sleeper agents on Lemmy to make an attack on the Freedom of Information Act (thats a special law that Biden made to try to protect wikipedia and keep free speech safe).
this is a joke about foreign influence on Lemmy, not about Wikipedia itself. I like wikipedia
I have a feeling OP’s “friends” wont necessarily even be aware hes connected the device to their network. It sounds to me like he wants something he can hide places to take advantage of unsecured or public networks without having to sit there with his laptop doing whatever shady shit he has planned.
What.cd was the greatest collection of obscure music the planet has probably ever seen. I dont even particularly care about lossless codecs, I was fine with 320kb/s mp3 as it was more convenient but even their mp3 rips were way better than other places, and you knew everything would be tagged and sorted correctly. And they had EVERYTHING you could think of, it was wild.
Except this logic only works if only a small percentage of homes are owned by landlords, but thats not the case because of the financial incentive. Say there are 100 people living in an area. Maybe 10 of them would prefer short term housing for whatever reason and dont want to own a house. 40 of them would love to own a house but cant, because 50 people all own 2 houses each. Now those 50 people can claim theyre ‘providing a aervice’ by making sure theres short term housing for those 10, but the people being forced to pay rent and never building equity aren’t going to see it that way. Our society has many more people that would love to own a home than it does people who prefer to rent
But you expect other people to use their free (literally unpaid) time to code what you want them to rather than what they care about or think is important. After theyve already made all of their work and progress free and openly available to anyone who wants to build off it. You have a fucked up view of the world.
Get an air mouse remote. Theyre like 20 bucks on amazon and you just point the remote at the screen to control the mouse cursor. Mine also has media controls on one side and a full keyboard on the other, and only one set of buttons works at a tim3 based on which side is pointing up so you dont have accidental button presses. It makes it way more functional if you want to do even casual web browsing and the media controls are great for htpc apps. You can also use in browser streaming services this way too though. Honestly one of my favourite peripheral devices that ive ever bought, and super cheap and works way better than i wouldve thought for the price.
This is such a bad faith comment. Im not a hexbear user but my instance is federated with them and ive interacted with lots of their posts. Go into any post on hexbear and youll see tons of examples of them disagreeing WITH EACHOTHER. they commonly have huge arguments in the comments and as long as everyone is civil and not arguing in bad faith noone gets banned and noone gets urt feelings. Stop lying and using hexbear as the lemmy boogeyman because its a bad look.
A water bear being 1/10th of the edge of a coin doesn’t seem right, that’d be like 0.2mm and probably still visible. Did you miss a stage?
edit I’m totally wrong, apparently they can be up to 0.5mm. Crazy. Althought they’re much smaller when young
When is the last time you heard of someone getting intentionally poisoned by a delivery driver? Id be surprised if its happened. Let alone happened in a targeted attack because the person is ‘famous’. Also most streamers are orders of magnitude away from being as famous as their fans seem to think they are. Normal people dont care about your favorite streamer.
