My doctor got me off omeprazole because there’s a link between long term use (10 years+) and kidney failure. So I do prescription strength famotidine twice a day and just take tums as needed, then in the summer when I’m drinking a lot, I switch to omeprazole for a few months. It’s working pretty good so far, but I go through tums like crazy.
Just like I’ve been telling my queer friends: some days you fight; some days you rest. You cannot fight if you don’t take care of yourself.

Most credit card companies provide free monthly checks to your credit so you don’t even need the yearly free checks. I just opened another line of credit and got a notification from discover 2 days later and email from them and capital one. It’s an included service that you should take advantage of.
Come on. That’s not even close to the amount of data that TikTok collects. TikTok needs to know how long you spend on EVERY video so it can recommend more like that. TikTok records EVERY interaction and time associated.
How the heck slack better or even have any more features than discord? Discord saves all history. Discord has threads that are easier to find than slack threads. Discord voice channels let you just hop in. Discord lets you direct reply.
I use slack for work, but Discord is great for what it is. The search is amazing.

Exactly. I’ve had some of my most emotionally vulnerable conversations with my wife during and post trip. It helps you look at your life in a different lenses and really question your current ego and perceptions.

Huh? Use the remote app on your phone. It automatically pops up like a notification when there’s a text box on the screen. So easy. You can turn the box off by holding the power button for a few seconds. To close apps, you double tap the TV button and then it’s an iOS like interface that you scroll over and swipe up on the ones you want to close.
The UI is very minimal and the same across most all apps, so it’s easy to learn and use. It may be missing some power features, but most things are accessed via clicking of just holding.

That’s the problem. A lot of people are living in and around cities now. We buy beer at the brewery. Do these figures include 1st party sells? Distributors have always been a necessary evil and many states have laws saying you must go through a distributor for selling elsewhere, but many breweries are just doing taprooms now to not have to deal with that. I’d like to see those stats if they exist.
I do understand that many people are buying seltzers now, myself included.
You can find anything offensive, but it doesn’t mean that social norms have to accept it. Do you take offense to being called your race? What about doctors using medical terminology to describe something like your muscles? These are the same things: descriptive words that were created without your input that you have no say in. It’s language, and it’s weird to get offended by a word being used in a non-inflammatory way.
Exactly. I wonder what the top 0.5% emit, or the top 0.1% emit. 140k is just a married couple living in a city. But people that live in a city can take public transit or walk to the store, therefore they won’t be contributing that much to these huge emissions.

Yes, but mostly people relate it to math because it teaches kids to solve problems, not just find the right answer. One thing common core math teaches is how to count in groups of 5. You have to show your work in elementary school to get full credit and even if you get the right answer, you could get 0 points because you didn’t solve the problem as required. Conservatives hate this because it makes them use their brain.
Yep. I have to go into the office 3 days a week. I get up for my first meeting, do some light work, then shower and get ready during my working hours, and leave on the bus. I’ll get there around 11-11:30 usually. Then I’ll leave to be home around 5. I’m not wasting my time on this bullshit. Working from home is way more relaxing and efficient.

Washington moved the least right out of all the states in the last election (every state moved right). I’m proud to be in this city! We really are pushing super progressive policies, even though our current city council is more moderate. Hopefully that changes soon, as we put in a young progressive recently!
