At least it was also funny. They gotta get paid somehow, and she tried to make it as fun as possible.

You need to get some gray hair dye. Apply only a little, where people’s hair mostly starts to go grey, and then come in to one of your shifts. When the first person comments on it, act surprised and say “the witches curse was real! She said I would lost 13 years for encroaching on her house in the woods!” This way, you will get even more sympathy for being older. Your youth was stolen from you.
Barbie is a movie that is about a children’s toy, and it talks about feminism, toxic masculinity, among others. Godzilla is a movie where a man in a giant reptile costume breaks apart facsimile buildings, but talks about the terror of nuclear attacks at the same time. Just because movies are about silly things doesn’t mean that the professionals that work on them aren’t allowed to put more into their work.
The author is making 2 main points.
Now, does this make it a bad movie? That’s for you to decide. If all you want from a film is to be entertained with some jokes? It sounds like it’s good, but that’s not what the author is speaking to. The author is speaking to people that enjoy films that have points of view that they are expressing. If that isn’t you, that’s okay.
Maybe people are understandably uncomfortable with self immolation? Nobody has ever liked an effective activist in their time. The civil rights protesters in USA had a <25% approval rate in the 60s.
I think this person did what he thought was right, and I will remember him for that. And peace can’t come soon enough.
You’re right, it probably won’t. Some people make things because they want to make art as opposed to making money.
Because they did it so much, that people associate it with them. It’s like asking why swastikas are associated with Nazis when it is originally a Hindu symbol. Symbols get associated with the bad people that use them.
That’s not all Bruen did. Bruen also said a restriction on gun ownership had to be consistent with our history and values. Which we assume means you have to point to laws that did the same thing during the 1700s/1800s. Whether or not this is idiotic is rhetorical, but you can’t point to a law that said you could take guns away because of domestic violence from that era, because domestic violence wasn’t a crime then!
I love the first two games. They are mainly great because of the humor, so your mileage may vary, but I really enjoy them.
When you don’t provide a political solution to a situation, people will resort to non-political solutions.
I used to live in Alabama. This is a version of what they want. But I also agree with the chump who said “it doesn’t affect me”. Because that’s what allowed all the atrocities of history to happen. Sometimes you have to stop evil people from being evil.
Gotta be careful letting your nuance show on the internet. Most people don’t care for it.
The thing that this teaser has, that I needed, was seeing superman being good. When he saved the girl, I realized how much I’ve missed that from all of the Snyder movies. Superman is supposed to be an ideal. Having Clark not save his own father was as dumb as when they made Steve Rogers a Nazi in the comics. It betrays what the character means down at their core, and I don’t think we learned anything else in the exercise.
