I’m saving this phrase.
I had a PM postpone a critical part of a project since June, the hard deadline is on September 15th… I’ve insisted to start with it months ago and now he’s scrambling everyone to get this done yesterday.
We’re not gonna make it and I don’t care anymore.

Right there in the article. Putting a piece or printed paper in your mouth does not damage your organs, cause impotence nor leukemia.

2·2 years agoThere are plenty of alternatives to the NUC. MinisForum, StarLabs and System76 out of the top of my head
I have two MinisForum miniPCs and I absolutely love them, I’ve had them on for months at the time without any issues. Before I got them I was looking into the Intel NUCs and they were way too expensive for the specs. Sure, their top of the line NUCs are absolute beasts in a tiny form factor, but their basic entry level stuff is for burning money
I left NZ a few years ago and one of my main reasons were the lower incomes and high cost of housing. It all came down to the fact that I couldn’t even afford to rent a flat by my self, whereas right across the Tasman I could earn twice the salary and have a comparable if not lower cost of living.
Eventually I’ve ended up in Europe and I’m earning almost 4 times of what I was earning back home. I’ve considered coming back, bit the prospect of maybe never being able to own a home keeps me away.
