The extension is to get the rss link to paste into five filters

Five filters takes the link and gets all the images and all that then makes a new rss link that you give to fresh rss.

When I tried just fresh rss a lot of the sites I tried wouldn’t get me images or it would be just the headline and I would have to click the link and go to the actual site to read the article

Yeah i host five filters, fresh rss, and a mariadb container for fresh rss

I personally don’t host the firefox extension I just found it recommend on reddit to get rss urls from sites that don’t have a link

That plus a browser extension that finds the right rss feed for you like get rss feed url on firefox.

I copy the rss with the extension
Then I paste that into five filters
Use that to give it to fresh rss which will get me a nice looking post with images and text

FreshRSS, i had it installed and setup with a fee feeds for over a year and only like this month has it become my daily read, i can get almost everything in there to just read through while I drink my coffee, sites I bookmarked but never go to can now come to me.

I like full frame sensor so I bought the cheapest full frame camera and decent lenses then later upgraded to a newer camera that used the same mount. I ended up selling everything I had that was canon when I switched to Sony mirrorless. I got a nice 50mm prime lens and that’s it so far, I ended up getting an adapter to use my nikon film lenses with it but the pictures don’t look as nice as the sony 50mm and no autofocus on the nikon lenses.

I think picking a lenses mount might be a good starting point. When I was shooting Canon I was able to use my full frame lens on my digital 6d and also the Canon film A2 so it was a really nice setup

yeah Im using digikam right now mainly as a lightroom replacement, but the editing on there isnt really robust but for rotating, cropping and converting to jpg to share it has a neat batch edit feature for that

so when you edit in rawtherapee, if you go to edit it again later on all the changes are still there because of the sidecar file? do you have to manually hit save for that?

the issue I ran into when going from lightroom to darktable originally was that darktable doesnt support video, so I used rapid photo downloader to copy everything into folders by file extension then dates, thats when I hit the issue of rapid photo downloader not taking some of my images for some reason, then it was a mess trying to figure out what copied and what didnt, Im still working through that now. digiKam seems to support video so if I would have started with that I probably could have just imported my whole lightroom library in one go, or if I was smart I would have done it in a few batches and verified my backups before hand

Ive used keh, ebay, and bhphoto. depends what Im trying to get and where I can find it, for example I got a 400mm old nikon film lens for cheap on bhphoto. but when I was selling my old canon gear the auction was pretty low on ebay so I imagine that would be a great way to get started with full frame digital. I wish I would have kept the camera and had it converted to infrared if I had known it was going to sell for so low, a bit after I sold it my old nikon I got off a friend and had converted to infrared died

Ah that explains a lot, i had added a mastodon account to pixeldroid app so I thought it was the same thing as login with mastodon but after trying it some more todag I see the limitations of using a mastodon account as a pixelfed, more like just a bunch of mastodon posts showing up that don’t load right

so would that mean my data would be on pixelfed.social?

Some thing like packagetrackr? I’ve also wanted something like that but haven’t really looked
