I think the guys at TLDR news said it best: if Trump threatening to withhold aid was enough to get a cease-fire deal, then Biden HAD enough leverage this whole time to get one. He just DIDN’T USE IT.

There seems to be two ways of viewing generative AI. The first, which many anti-AI people take is that Generative AI will be captured by big business and will decimate the creatives financial streams. The outcome will be less art with less meaning and shallow profit seeking art will rule the world.
Then there is the flip side. Everyone in them has a story they want to tell. Everyone has a artistic vision they want to produce. Everyone has a song they want to write and sing. Everyone, if given enough time, talent, practice, resources, and yes, money, could produce something beautiful, deep, and unique to themselves. But they don’t. Why? Because there are barriers. Barriers among barriers. It is the hope of the “AI bros” that AI will tear down those barriers and allow more people to create.
But because these people have never created before, their work will obviously not be up to pair with professionals. Just give it time. In the words of Randall Munroe: If we want to write Ulysses, our generation might not be sexting enough.

When I’m driving my car down a street - in one direction it moves without loosing much momentum, but in another direction at a 90 degree angle, my car tends to lose a lot of momentum. Don’t Start With President! Running for president as a party that doesn’t have any senators or governors is a massive waste of money on an ego trip that normally hurts the side that people voting for them support.
Start with safe democratic states, like New York and California. Run for safe democratic mayor-ships and house seats. Once you get a couple of wins, momentum, and a bench of candidates: then try for governor or senator. Once you get more than 3 of them THEN you choose the most popular among the group and run them for president.
I should of said “makes it impossible to raise taxes on the rich” … without them passing on the hurt to the poor. Sort of like how Trump thinks a tariff on foreign goods will only be paid by foreigners.
The rich don’t earn money from an income. They earn it from investments. We tax investments at the same rate as the top bracket (37%). If we raised the top income bracket to 38%, it would push more rich to receive their income via investment. However, raise the investment tax (capital gains), and we drive foreign investment away. A lot of foreign money is in America because we have a long history of stability and a low possibility of the people rising up and nationalizing ownership of foreign property. Drive that money away and everyone suffers, but that also makes it impossible to raise taxes on the rich.
If they won’t take them, maybe we could put all these Columbians in some sort of District. A District of Columbia filled with criminals. Wait, we already have that.
