I have been trying for years to get our American colleagues to use three letter abbreviations for the month to avoid ambiguity, for example in global emails. With a couple of small exceptions, I have been unsuccessful in convincing them of the need to be clear in their written communication to people in the rest of the world.

Nor is it rhetorical when you ask a question and then spend several lines going on about it, and making it clear that you really did want to talk about an answer.

It’s not a typo when its a correctly spelled, but incorrect word. A typo is where you mash keys or type them in the wrong order - a typographical error. Writing the wrong word entirely is an error.
