I will just get an AMD (7745HX?) mini PC with adequate RAM and call it a day. It should run almost anything that you throw in a light setup with minimal power usage.

For-jail-o?
Starting out with Python by Tony Graddis
I read the 3rd edition in library, now it’s 6th. Don’t know if it is as good as the memory serves.
Ops. Missed that part.
I use BTRFS for snapshots, and auto compression. Maybe it can be done with raids with LVM? AFAIK BTRFS redundancy is basically the same as traditional RAID, similar to using mdadm. Still, you would want a backup strat instead relying on the disk redundancy. I learn that the hardway.
I would just skip RAID, add all disk to a single BTRFS and use the built in profiles for (meta)data redundancy.
Cache I don’t know much tho.

So posts from a blocked instance to a subscribed community on another instance is blocked? This is what I want but I don’t see it do anything.
Never heard of them. Will check them out sometime. Thx.
Appflowy if Notion appels you. It is not 1.0 yet so some features you need might not be there.
I gave up in Firefox Sync an year ago as it doesn’t work reliably for me. The sent tab function, the main reason I use sync, tabs are frequently delayed (as in over a minute) or straight up not working. Now I uses SimpleX group for my cross device communications.
Maybe it is improved but I’m too lazy to try.
In a quick read
What I expect to see: How apple enables police to invade our privacy
What I actually see: 3 apps that digitize paperwork and help police do thier job on iPhone, and CarPlay
Conclusion: It looks like WWDC but for the cops. It is nothing wrong to use iPhone or whatever phone to make work more efficient. It is a tool after all.
Still, the effects benefits the consumer, so I would consider this a good thing.
Also, I wonder if we can do the same to other companies and let them revert course.
But the outcome is good for me at least and I’m satisfied.
Oh. Steam tried to rip gamers off so hard that they removed forced arbitration clauses and class action waivers from their terms of service.
Steam is a monopoly no doubt, but it’s not a result of major anti-competitive behavior, but simply because others can’t match it.
I guess you can also use NFS/iSCSI for images too?
