I think it still sucks as a turn your brain off movie.
There really isn’t much action for, like, 80% of the movie. It’s too busy trying to be smart and utterly failing, so either way that’s a ton of boring unenjoyable talky stuff whether your brain is on or off.
You have to keep in mind that hypocrisy is not considered a bad thing to conservatives. It doesn’t matter that they’re hurting people, as long as they’re “hurting the right people.”
Conservative mindset is inherently unequal. The ingroup gets all rewards and benefits, the outgroup gets all blame and punishment.
You mean supreme court calls it a “presidential act”
Doesn’t always work. Hannibal Lecter is probably the most memorable character in Silence of the Lambs and a huge draw but he’s neither the main character or the main villain, and has minimal screen time.
Thank goodness
Imagine trying to squeeze toothpaste out of a tube but it’s almost empty vs almost full.
Your gut is meant to keep things moving along… If it doesn’t, it ain’t good.
X is just a vague term though. It’s also often used as a placeholder for unknown or variable things. So the “formerly Twitter” is going to stick for quite a while.
It’s like naming a product “The Thing”. Anyone who talks about it will always have to clarify what Thing they are talking about basically forever.
Rich people want to get richer. Rich people can afford to bribe/wine and dine/trade favors with the select few who actually write the law.
That is all. Nobody enjoys paying taxes, but the rich are just the ones in a position to actually do something about it.
That line is bullshit anyway, otherwise the entire field of surgery wouldn’t exist.
Sex scenes in movies are a combination of this weird shameful “I want to show I’m having sex but I can’t actually show it” and “It’s almost like porn if you removed all the porn.”
You’re really stuck in a pointless awkward middle ground that satisfies nobody. And 95% of the time it isn’t even plot relevant so you’re just wasting time. The decline basically just coincides with internet access to the masses.
So basically Jumanji, but probably worse
I’m still waiting for the We’re Wolves movie…
Not remake the entire shuttle, but to simply design a disposable rocket and build a hundred of those, instead of a space plane.
The space shuttle was technically reusable, but not in a way that was beneficial to anyone. The time and cost of refurbishing the shuttle after every launch was so much they may as well have built a brand new disposable rocket for each mission.
SpaceX may have built the first reusable rocket that actually saves money
That looks more like a hot vending machine
Sounds like you just need to play an RTS game.
Yeah, it pumps GDP numbers up. By having more people to do work.
Not by increasing GDP per capita.
It can suppress wages.
Immigrants often are expected to work for less money. After all, they usually immigrate from an economically worse country, so they don’t expect to land top tier wages.
You keep filling in minimum wage jobs with an endless supply of immigrants, then there is never a worker shortage and never any incentive to raise the bar. No company needs to compete with higher wages to attract talent. In fact, it can make things worse and cause a race to the bottom… Reducing wages on existing positions until workers quit and just filling it with less skilled workers.
I’ve got ogmios tagged, they have a history of espousing bullshit as “fact”, usually with some religious bent to it. Their science education likely came from a pastor and I doubt they’ll ever sincerely try to actually learn science.
