The Spaceburger looks pretty dope.
The Spaceburger looks pretty dope.
That’s not quite what I said. You have strong convictions, and I wish you well.

Poor advice, IMO. Going below BMR is ok, starvation mode is largely a myth, and, while nutrition is important, it is not necessary for caloric-deficit weight loss.
Maybe it’s just important to stay generally social with folks of all types, as perspectives and conversations keep us young? Is that a good maxim?
I think you hit the nail on the head.
Where you live is one thing, but how you face the world is another. As we age, it seems that we have increased challenges in the areas you note.
Trust becomes harder. Acknowledging our own faults and cognitive degradations becomes harder. Making decisions becomes harder. And desire to remain autonomous becomes stronger. Those things don’t jive too well.
One more thing to add: maintain a community of similarly-aged peers. Otherwise, one might feel like they are on an island.
This is based on my experience caring for an elderly family member.
I’ve just started a Zulip POC and it’s been decent so far. Definitely resembles Discord.
I prefer to dice and soak in cold water first to get rid of that excess starch. Saving cook time is a win for me.
Regarding the first two, I find charging my EV at home means I rarely have to consider public charging. I’ve started to find stopping at the gas station way more inconvenient.
When I lived in the city, I maintained charge with a standard 120v outlet. In a rural area, I am doing well with a 240v (15a).
12 hour+ road trips are the only thing I hesitate on much anymore — sometimes I love the EV road trip, and other times I’m just looking to make good time.
I prefer it straight with water, myself. Sometimes it’s hard to find places that will sell a straight matcha water. It’s important to use at least culinary grade if not ceremonial, and order your matcha from a reputable distributor.
I like Tenzo tea, but it’s overpriced. Enso or something like that is what’s in my cabinet these days.
Hey, don’t judge a cover of a book by its look.
And check out Trailer Park Boys.

Worst case Ontario, you get some downvotes.
I don’t blame them. I expect viewership is down, as well as the other factors. Heck, when I click a link that goes to a tweet and it tells me I have to login… I press the back button.
I have a login. But nah.
TIL about trademark erosion. Also, thanks for a proper response.
Trademark erosion, or genericization, is a special case of antonomasia related to trademarks. It happens when a trademark becomes so common that it starts being used as a common name and the original company has failed to prevent such use.
I guess Nintendo fought it successfully by getting the world to call the thing a “game console” rather than calling it a Nintendo. Hoover failed to defend the verb “Hoover” and lost it.
In this case, it just seems like the win is for Taco Bell and their efforts to gain, use and profit from the term. And that makes it feel a little gross and brutish. They could prove me wrong though.
What makes it fucking stupid? Is it because it reaches a critical mass of usage, so the people get to take it back? Something else?
As an aside, I have a new product idea: Zoidberg’s Super Bowl of Cereal: I’m Lovin’ It!
I’m with you on this one, too. I prefer my jet boil and instant coffee (or matcha) compared to an Aeropress.
Nespresso machines are definitely pressurized and temp controlled. Keurig, less so.
I read something somewhere once (great source, right?) regarding Keurig temps, and they weren’t consistent or optimal. And the pressure is more like a hose with an attachment as opposed to a pressure washer.
Some K cups will empty out when you use them, too. From what I’ve run into, that’s typically the fancy flavor ones. But some are just coffee grounds that get a suboptimal water flow at suboptimal temps going through them.
Someone can correct me on what I’m remembering though.
Yup, expect a residue if you delay removal. Painters tape is meant to be removed relatively soon after application. Rubbing alcohol can typically remove the residue.
Oh my, I didn’t catch that one but will be searching for it!
I love* solving wonky user issues. People do the darndest things.

Nothing wrong with a Windows box as your server. Use what you know. Windows skills are a great asset in the world.
This issue is OS-independent, meaning you would have the same problem on a Raspberry Pi as you did on your Windows box.
GLHF
And republicans (or, at least one, in my district) are campaigning here on how cashless bail is letting criminals go free.
Cashless bail isn’t letting criminals go free any more than cash-based bail was. I am just as safe. There is nothing to see here, except a more level playing field for all.
Why do the republicans in charge hate people so much? I don’t think their constituents hate people nearly as much as the leaders.
