Every movie theater I’ve ever been to has spaces that can accommodate wheelchairs and this guy’s chair. Was he busting it out in the aisle? If so, yes, that’s against fire code, and it makes sense theater staff asked him to move, because that’s what they’re trained to do. Yeah, with things like this I can’t tell if it’s lack of training or just a dumb or shitty employee. My guess is that this is not systemic corporate malfeasance.
Undertraining is a systemic issue.
But there’s store specific managers and regional hierarchies I imagine. In my corporate job, there are teams all in the same office, but different managers give different directives or priorities to things like trainings. I’m guessing there’s a lot of variance between AMC movie theaters, their managers, and team members.
